About

The Seasoned Noob:

The Seasoned Noob started out originally with Blogspot in February 2008. I’ve always liked food and eating, but never really delved deeper into the whole culinary experience. I ate anything and just about everything (except mushrooms). But right after college and tallying up a couple weeks’ expenses of dining out, the light bulb went on. Why should I eat out so often if I could cook tasty food at home? And after I started, I found that I just plain enjoyed cooking!

So I started reading blogs and collecting cookbooks and found that there’s a huge wealth of information out there, just waiting to be had! Dozens of different styles of cooking and preparation, each region of cuisine vastly different from the next considering the different lays of the land. And in particular, I’ve been attracted to homestyle cooking. There are so many delicious meals out there that can be made out of some very simple and easy-to-find ingredients and The Seasoned Noob was started to seek these meals out and to share them.

My main goal is to find dishes that can be prepped and cooked under an hour (I’m slow so this might be pushing it), ideally for weeknight meals as that’s the majority of my cooking.

Enjoy!
